I've been having trouble figuring out how to add to this diary but think I figured it out. I posted another entry but it didn't go here. So here is the the other entry and a new one that is more current.

june 16th-Well all 61 tomato plants are in. I am starting to redefine the wells and making sure the drip system is good on each plant. Then I put straw in each well over the drip line to retain water so it doesn't evaporate so fast. Day temps are in mid 80's, night temps mid 40's. I have 11 giant tomatoes and the rest are eating varieties..

july 4th-Got a lot or rain for Santa Fe the last 2 days the tomatoes are digging it. I've lost so far only 2 tomatoes so now- a Great White and a Black Cherry tomato plant. I now have 59. My giant tomatoes are all doing well but I am waiting for more megablossoms to appear which better hurry. I got such a late start-planted all of them inside under lights in April and that was ok but we had subfreezing temps until end of June and then scorching temps that really slowed them down in the garden. They are finally kicking in. You all should check out my other blog-
