I just learned about tertiary vines and have some Q's. should I trim them slowly? I have two plants growing next to each other and they are very healthy. I want bigger pumpkins though.(biggest I've ever grown was 85 lbs.) I am just afraid of hurting the WHOLE plant. suggestions? a couple are already over twenty pounds with two + months to go.

I am growing a tomato Plant in my bedroom. It is 6 feet tall and doing well. The leaves are a little misformed but green and not overly green. I have pollinated some buds and had a tomato about the size of a silver dollar. Then it stoppedgrowing and I had another tomato right next to it! If only I could take 2010 back again I would. I choose my seeds and tilled my ground, did ammendments and tested soil and everything was right to have a great year. Then I took a 7,000 mile road trip in March which did not affect much. The mistake I made was thinking that anyone else would do what was necessary to do to have a great year! I've been having trouble figuring out how to add to this diary but think I figured it out. I posted another entry but it didn't go here. I am starting to redefine the wells and making sure the drip system is good on each plant. Then I put straw in each well over the drip line to retain water so it doesn't evaporate so fast.
